 Ferdaus Hossain conducted his Doctoral research on "Immunomodulatory molecules (CCR5, IDO) and signaling pathways of virus-induced exacerbated asthma" through adopting various infectious murine models (Influenza-PR8, Rhinovirus-1B). In this way, he has developed an infectious murine model, and justifying the model validation, in the Dept. of Microbiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Chonbuk National University, Republic of Korea.  He has also basic exposures on immunovirology in detail about JEV, HSV, and Dengue virus using different mice models.  As an NIH fellow (National Institute of Health, USA), he worked on the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV) immunology using mice models, in the Dept. of Pathology & Microbiology, College of Medicine, University of Nebraska, USA. His ongoing target is to the characterization of the Th responses and mechanisms underlying post Coronavirus secondary (Staphylococcus aureus-MRSA) complications in humans.  Recently, Dr. Ferdaus also worked on the immunoloregulation of STEM cells in the vertical transmission of pediatric asthma, in the Department of Medicine, National Jewish Health, University of Colorado; USA.
