Dr. Mahfuj is a graduate of Faculty of Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences, Sylhet Agricultural University where he also obtained a Master’s degree from the department of Medicine. He has obtained his PhD degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Chonbuk National University, Republic of Korea. He joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Medicine and Surgery, SAU in 2009 and served as an Assistant Professor from 2011 until 2016 and an Associate Professor from 2016 till present in the Department of Medicine. His research interests are in the areas of complementary, alternative medicine and molecular medicine, diagnostic and regenerative medicine, cellular and molecular biology. Dr. Mahfuj has a strong record of research in his area as evident by receiving a number of awards and fellowships from different prestigious organizations. Until now he has received several grants from different sources including University Grant Commission of Bangladesh (UGC), Ministry of science and Technology (MoST). He has published many peer reviewed research articles and supervised 7 postgraduate students.
