Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain, the son of Md. Azizar Rahman and Mrs. Anowara Begum was born on 1 July, 1982 in the village of Laskarpur under Bogra district. He completed his secondary education from Mokamtola Pilot High School in 1998 and Higher Secondary education from Govt. Azizul Hoque College, Bogra in 2000 obtaining first division in both examinations. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Honours) in 2006 and Masters of Science (MS) in Soil Science in 2007 from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. He was awarded PhD degree in Soil Science from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) in 2017. He has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Soil Science of Sylhet Agricultural University since 2008 when he joined as a lecturer. He has around 15 scholarly peer reviewed articles published in national and international journals. He is happily married to Mrs. Arfin Sultana, Master in Political Science and house wife, and they are blessed with a daughter and a son.
