Biography
Sharmin Akter was born in 1989 in Sirajganj; the north-central part of Bangladesh. She passed SSC (2005) and HSC (2007) examination under Rajshahi board. After that she admitted in Faculty of Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences (FVABS) of Sylhet Agricultural University as an undergraduate student and achieved DVM degree in 2013. She received her Master degree in Epidemiology and Public Health from the same University in 2015. She joined as a faculty member in Epidemiology and Public Health Dept. in lecturer position at 24th April, 2016. She worked as a team member for several research project of department and currently involve with research works. DR. Sharmin wants to devote herself as researcher on zoonotic diseases, food safety and food hazards, different public health and one health issues, environmental hygiene and sanitation, infectious diseases and molecular epidemiology, spatiotemporal modeling and so on. At present, she is working as an Assistant professor of Epidemiology at the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Sylhet Agricultural University.
