Momotaj Begum was born in 1994, in Sunamganj district, Bangladesh. She achieved her Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) from Sylhet Board in science group with GPA 5 in both and obtained her B. Sc degree in Agricultural Economics from the Agricultural University in 2015 (Exam held in 2016). She received her MS degree in Agricultural Economics (Agribusiness and Marketing) from the Bangladesh Agricultural University in 2018 and received several fellowship and awards through her academic career. Further, she has contributed as a lecturer of the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Business Management in Sylhet agricultural University, Sylhet from December 2018 to January 2021, and currently she is serving as an assistant professor of the same department of the institution. As a researcher, she has acquired the opportunity to work as a "Data Enumerator and Entry Operator" in two different projects funded by UGC. Much of her work focus on Agricultural Marketing, Value Chain Analysis, Agribusiness and food system, Climate change issue in Agriculture. She strives to be engaged with agricultural producers, commodity traders and consumers in North Eastern part as well as overall Bangladesh to ensure timely access to socio-economic analysis of relevant policies to these groups.
