Md. Joybor Rahman is a driven researcher who began his career on 17 January 2021 as a lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Construction and Environmental Engineering at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) in Bangladesh. He received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Sylhet Agricultural University in 2017 and his Master of Science in Agricultural Construction and Environmental Engineering from Sylhet Agricultural University in Bangladesh in 2019. Md. Joybor was awarded "The University Award for Excellence" in 2018 for having the highest GPA among regular students in his 2016 graduating class. During his undergraduate studies, he held the position of research assistant. As a Principal Investigator (PI), he was awarded a grant from the University Grants Commission (UGC) project entitled "Prediction of drought index using an advanced fuzzy logic model: A case study in the north-eastern region of Bangladesh" for his outstanding concept. Mr. Joybor was also chosen as a Co-PI for another outstanding piece of work titled "Synthesis and application of engineered biochar (E-BC) from agricultural waste to adsorb dyes (anionic or cationic) from water or wastewater (w/ww)." He has a keen interest in discovering new scientific knowledge, such as climate modeling using artificial neural networks, remote sensing and geo-information science, environmental technology, wastewater treatment, and other closely related fields.
