Biography

Pranajit Kumar Das is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department under faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) in Sylhet, Bangladesh. He obtained his undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Engineering (B.Sc. Eng.) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering under the faculty of applied science and technology, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh in 2010. Then he earns Master of Engineering (M. Eng.) at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand under the supervision of Dr. Suree Pumrin with the Graduate scholarship program for ASEAN and Non-ASEAN countries in 2023. He has previously appointed and served as Chief (Acting Chairman) of ICT Cell, SAU for around four years and led various software development, such as, Undergraduate Student Admission System (2018), SAU Mobile App (2020), Course Registration System, Student enrolment System, Dynamic Campus Network Management, etc. He has been funded by SAURES for the development project titled “Design and Development of a Mobile Application for SAU on the Android platform” as principal investigator (PI) in the year 2017-18. Currently, my research interests include application of deep learning (DL) and computer vision (CV) techniques in agricultural field, Data Analytics, and Agricultural Image Analysis. My software/ coding skills include Python, C/C++, and PyTorch. I am interested in developing computationally efficient AI systems for real-world applications.
