Israt Nur Suravi, from Mymensingh district, is a lecturer of Department of Coastal and Marine Fisheries of Sylhet Agricultural University of Bangladesh. She is the first child of Babar Ali and Ferdows Ara Begum among their four children. She did her MS in Coastal and Marine Fisheries obtaining first class first position (CGPA-4.000) from Sylhet Agricultural University in 2017 and completed her B.Sc.Fisheries (Hons.) from the same University under the faculty of Fisheries obtaining first class first position (CGPA-3.960) in 2015. She worked as a NST fellow under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) from 2015-2016.
