Biography

Professor Dr. Sharifunnessa Moonmoon was born on first January of 1981 at Miah Para of GOPALGANJ district BANGLADESH. She is the younger daughter of Md. Shaheed Ali and Begum Baharunnessa. She attended primary and then secondary education at Binapani Government Girls High School, GOPALGANJ and higher secondary education in science from Begum Fazilatunnessa Govt. Womens College, GOPALGANJ . She obtained BSc Ag.(Hon’s)degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh-2202, Bangladesh in 2003 (held in 2005) and secured first class and Master of Science in Biotechnology in June 2007 and secured CGPA 3.953 (out of 4.00) and PhD in Plant Physiology from the same university. In July 2009, Sylhet Agricultural University employed him as a lecturer in the Dept. of Crop Botany & Tea Production Technology and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2011 and Associate Professor in 2017 and Professor in 2020. So far, he published 33 scientific articles and few conference paper in various national and international journals and attended different scientific workshops and conferences. From childhood, she was engaged with different cultural activities, attended different co-curricular and extra-curricular events competition and awarded around 60 (sixty) certificates, crest , plus and medals at school, Upazilla , College , District , Divisional, National and International level. In 2002 she has been participated scout programme at international level and visited National Adventure Institute, PACHMARI, INDIA. In 2007, he married with Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Islam Siddiqui. He blessed with two daughters, Cadet Mumtaha Ashfi and Muntaha Arisha.
