Biography

Md. Khalid Hossen is a computational scientist and currently works as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Sylhet Agricultural University. He is a PhD candidate at Dalhousie University, Canada. He holds an MSc in Scientific Computing from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He also earned his BSc and MSc (thesis) with distinction from ShahJalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. As a teacher, Khalid is known for his engaging and interactive teaching style, which incorporates a variety of teaching methods and technologies to enhance the learning experience. He is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their opinions, and sharing their ideas. In addition to teaching, he is actively involved in research or other academic pursuits. He has published some articles in international journals and conferences. He attended a conference in Canada. His research focuses on Scientific Computing, Scientific Machine Learning, Big Data, Turbulence Modelling, and Computational Agriculture. The objective is to improve the scientific knowledge of turbulence dynamics in various physical systems through formal modelling and comparative analysis. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys playing games such as cricket and football.
