Professor Dr. A.T.M. Mahbub-E-Elahi was born on 2nd February 1974 in a muslim family of Gaibandha district in the village Monoharpur under Palashbari upazila. His father’s name is Md. Maswoodur Rahman Mandal and mother’s name is Farida Begum. He started his education life from the Monoharpur Primary School, Palashbari, Gaibandha and passed SSC from Sonatola Model High School, Bogura during 1978, HSC from Govt. Nazir Akter College, Sonatola, Bogura during 1980, D.V.M.(Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) and M. Sc. (Veterinary Science) in Microbiology from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. He obtained PhD from Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka during 2011 and Post- Doctoral Fellow(UGC Fellow) from Sylhet Agricultural University, Sylhet in 2014. There are 29 MS and 4 PhD students completed their research degree under his supervision. He has served as Chairman, Department of Microbiology & Immunology, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences, SAU, Sylhet, Convenor, National Veterinary Dean Council, BD, a reviewer for several international journals and has been a member of various professional organizations, including the Bangladesh Veterinary Association. Till now his length of service is more than 36 years. He is married and blessed with four daughters.
