Saiful Islam was born in 1992, in Chunarughat,Habiganj, Bangladesh. He obtained his degree in veterinary medicine from the Sylhet Agricultural University, in 2017. He received his master degree in Parasitology from the same University in 2019. He is now working as an " Assistant Professor " at the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences, Sylhet Agricultural University,Sylhet. He is specially from parasitological field with a focus to vector binomics, helminths, protozoa, public health, molecular biology. Interested in the field: Vector biology, behaviour, population dynamics, insecticide resistance, vector bionomics, helminths, protozoa, Public health and molecular biology. He served as a "Research Officer" of Emerging and Respiratory Infections at Infectious Diseases division in International Centre For Diarrhoeal Disease Research Bangladesh ( icddr,b) from 2019-2021. He received 1 year training as a " Field Experience trainee" from Emerging and Respiratory Infections at Infectious Diseases division in International Centre For Diarrhoeal Disease Research Bangladesh ( icddr,b) from 2018-2019. He received a technical training " Second Malaria Vector Surveillance and Elimination" from Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand funded by Asia Pacific Malaria Network ( APMEN) in 2019. He is also now serving as a " Field organizer" of International Parasite Resource Bank (iPRB) Bangladesh part.
