He has held several international academic appointments, including Visiting Professor of Parasitology at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), India; Guest Lecturer in Parasitology at the School of Medicine, Chungbuk National University, Republic of Korea; and Guest Lecturer in Environmental Health at the School of Public Health, MIT World Peace University, Pune, India. Dr. Nath serves as a Member-at-Large of the Executive Board of the World Federation of Parasitologists (WFP) and as a Mentor for the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). He also coordinates the AMMnet Bangladesh Chapter and the Parasite Resource Bank, Bangladesh, leading initiatives that strengthen research capacity and international collaboration in parasitology and One Health. He earned his Ph.D. in Medicine (Parasitology) from Chungbuk National University, Republic of Korea, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, graduating cum laude in both degrees. He also obtained his M.Sc. in Parasitology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh, receiving distinction in both programs. Throughout his career, Dr. Nath has completed numerous specialized international training programs in vector-borne diseases, helminth bioinformatics, genome analysis, Good Clinical Practice (WHO), Good Laboratory Practice, and health research mentorship. These include advanced training at the University of Idaho (USA), Wellcome Connecting Science (UK), Khon Kaen University (Thailand), Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), and the Armauer Hansen Research Institute (Ethiopia). His academic excellence has been recognized through numerous prestigious scholarships and fellowships, including the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), WHO/TDR Scholarship, DANIDA Fellowship, TDR Mentorship Grant, University of Idaho Award, and ICTMM Travel Grant, among others.
