Biography
Dr. Md. Abul Kashem has been serving the department since 2012. Dr. Kashem completed a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (Honours) and an MS in Fisheries Technology from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). Later, he earned his second MSc from Wageningen University and Research, the Netherlands. Dr. Kashem pursued his doctoral degree (PhD in Bioscience Engineering: Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences) from Ghent University, Belgium. During the academic periods, he learned about fish microbes and microbial management. Dr. Kashem published articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals. Dr. Kashem teaches courses, supervises students, and reviews journal articles. Dr. Kashem has mastered himself in microbes and microbial management in aqua-food species. Dr. Kashem is also interested in fish preservation and processing by preventing or reducing microbial spoilage.
